Log On to ShipWorks
Connect to SQL Server
Need More Help?

There are two possible screens that you may be presented with when you launch the ShipWorks application.  Let's figure out which one you need.

1.  Click here if you are getting the Log On to ShipWorks screen.

2.  Click here if you get the Connect to SQL screen.

Log On to ShipWorks

If you cannot remember the password with which you log into the ShipWorks application, please try the following:

1.  Sometimes, if you have multiple users using ShipWorks, it may be that the wrong username is selected.  Make sure the correct username is selected from the username: drop-down menu.  Then, try your password again.

2.  Click the blue Forgot Password link.  You will be asked to enter the username or the email address associated with the username that you are attempting to log in as.  Click Send Password and a new password will be emailed to you.

Note:  Once you receive the new password and log into ShipWorks, you can update your password in the ShipWorks application by going to MANAGE > USERS.

Connect to SQL Server

This is the (SQL Server) database authentication screen (this is what allows ShipWorks to connect to the database/system that houses all of your data).

The username is usually 'sa'. The password was created when you installed ShipWorks.  If you don't remember it, it's not a problem.  You have three options:

  1. You can try the default password ShipW@rks1.
  2. You can try logging in using Windows Authentication.
  3. Sometimes, there is a Windows service that decides it does not wish to continue running.  This service must be running for ShipWorks to talk to the SQL database.  Click here for instructions on how to see if this service is running and how to restart it.
  4. You can contact us and we can reset the password for you.
