We recommend upgrading ShipWorks as new versions become available. This is the best way to ensure that ShipWorks is properly integrated with your selling platforms and shipping carriers.

Note: If you have more than one computer running ShipWorks, you'll upgrade the ShipWorks server first and then upgrade each additional computer that has ShipWorks on it.

1. Log onto ShipWorks on your ShipWorks server computer (most likely the first computer where ShipWorks was installed, where the ShipWorks database was installed). When a new version of ShipWorks becomes available, you will see a banner notification in your ShipWorks software just under the ribbon bar. This banner provides a link to download the new version. Click the Download now link in the banner notification message to navigate to the ShipWorks customer download webpage.

Alternatively you can navigate directly to the ShipWorks customer download page available here: http://www.shipworks.com/download-customer or by clicking the Download Software link at the bottom of the ShipWorks.com website.

2. Click the DOWNLOAD link to download the most recent ShipWorks install file into your Windows "Downloads" folder.

3. When the download is complete, navigate to your computer's Downloads folder and open the new ShipWorks file to begin installation. (Make sure you exit out of all ShipWorks applications first.)

4. If prompted, allow ShipWorks to run. The ShipWorks Setup Wizard screen will appear. Close any applications you had open, and then click Next to initiate the upgrade.

5. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process and connect the upgraded version to your ShipWorks database. If prompted you can choose to create a ShipWorks database backup. You may be prompted to input your ShipWorks administrator

6. Repeat steps 1-5 for each additional computer on which you have ShipWorks installed.
