Background

In ShipWorks 3.7 (and higher), we've introduced a new template called the Shipper Productivity report template. This allows shipping managers to monitor the number of shipments processed (and voided) by user, as well as the total cost of the shipments processed by user. The objective of this article is to show you how to export this report to an HTML file, which can be read by Microsoft Word or Excel. It will also show you how to manually print the report from ShipWorks.

First Things First

These instructions assume that you have multiple users using ShipWorks 3.7 (and higher). For information on how to add a user to ShipWorks, see our documentation here

If you do not have multiple users set up in ShipWorks, the Shipper Productivity report can still be run. However, it will only show one user's activity in ShipWorks.

The Process

Exporting the Report to an HTML document (for Microsoft Excel or Word)

1. In ShipWorks, select the orders you want to include in your report. To select multiple orders, hold CTRL while you select orders. To select all orders, hold CTRL + A.

2. Navigate to Output > Save > Reports > Shipper Productivity

3. Save the file on your hard drive.

4. Open Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Word. In this example, we'll be using Microsoft Excel.

5. In your Microsoft program, navigate to File > Open > Navigate to Where You Saved Your Shipper Productivity Report. Click Open

6.Your report will now display as an Excel / Word document.

Manually Printing the Report

2. Right-click your orders and select Print > Reports > Shipper Productivity

3. If you haven't already connected a printer for this template, ShipWorks will prompt you to select a default printer. Use the drop-down menu to select a printer for your report and click Print. Otherwise, your report will print automatically.

Please note: To adjust these settings in the future, navigate to Manage > Templates > Reports > Shipper Productivity > Edit > Settings tab > Printing

4. Your report will now print to the printer you specified.
