Manually updating your online shipment details (tracking number, shipment status, etc.) will push this information to your online store or sales channel. Depending on the capabilities unique to your online cart(s), you can update online statuses (with or without comments) or upload your tracking number to your online marketplace.
Not all sales channels offer the ability to manually upload shipment details. We will list a couple of examples of stores that do in order to guide you through the process.
This is the default ShipWorks behavior.
It is important to note that ShipWorks will automatically upload shipment details to most of the sales channels it connects to immediately after processing a shipment. These instructions should only be used in the event you need to manually push the information to your sales channel.
1. In ShipWorks, right-click the order(s) that you want to update. Select Update Online > Upload Shipment Details.
Note: Amazon shows Upload Shipment Details under the Update Online option.
Note: Magento shows a way to update an online status (with or without comments).
2. Select your option (and press OK if prompted) and ShipWorks will send the information to your online marketplace.
