Communication between eBay members is a key part of the eBay buying and selling experience. In an effort to keep everyone in the eBay community safe, eBay has guidelines and policies that cover how members communicate.
For example, the eBay Member-to-Member Contact Policy does not allow its' members to:
Make offers to buy and sell outside of eBay
Threaten others, or use profanity or hate speech
Exchange any personal information (except names), including email addresses, phone numbers, or other contact information
Send viruses, malicious code, or software through our messaging service
ShipWorks' robust feature set gives you the ability to send email communications directly to your eBay customers from within the ShipWorks software. The eBay Member-to-Member Contact Policy has specific requirements regarding this type of communication. Review any ShipWorks templates emailed to your eBay customers to ensure that you adhere to the eBay policy.
Check to ensure that none of the following are included in your template(s):
Offers to buy or sell items outside of eBay
Message that include email addresses, phone numbers, or social media links, contact information or usernames
Email addresses and/or website addresses impersonating eBay
Any direct links to email addresses in an eBay listing or store pages (Instead use the eBay "Ask a Question" feature.)
