USPS: 2020 Label and SCAN Form Changes
In order to maintain compliance with the USPS we are updating some of our technologies. These changes will include:
The label layout for some USPS shipping labels.
Multiple USPS SCAN forms may be required and printed.
Several USPS mail classes will have different label formats. These classes include:
Priority Mail
Priority Mail Express
Parcel Select
MAJOR DIFFERENCES
-
Some information is moving - You may notice that some information on the label has moved. This includes but is not limited to:
From Zip Code
Billable Weight
Package Type
-
Removed or Replaced - Some items on the label will be moved or replaced. This includes:
IBI barcode will be replaced with the Stamps.com Endicia permit.
The Stamps/Endicia logo will be replaced by the text "Stamps.com Endicia".
Added - USPS TRACKING # text will appended with "-EP".

The new permit-based labels will not be included on the same SCAN form as other labels. This may result in additional SCAN form pages depending on the mail classes printed on a given day.
EXAMPLES
One SCAN form page will be printed when only a single mail class (such as First Class or Priority Mail) is processed on a given business day.
When multiple mail classes are processed on a given day (such as First Class and Priority Mail) multiple SCAN form pages will be printed.
Note
When multiple SCAN form pages are printed, the pages will be marked as Form 1 of 2 or Form 2 of 2 as appropriate.
