Ship to Military Addresses (APO, DPO, FPO)
Use ShipWorks to create labels to Military and Diplomatic addresses (APO, FPO, DPO). Depending upon the shipping carrier used, there are some limitations and specific address formatting that needs to be followed. This article will assist you with ensuring that your Military and Diplomatic shipment addresses are formatted correctly and will link you to additional carrier documentation and resources.
Locate International, Military, and U.S. Territory Addresses

The major carriers connected to ShipWorks have specific services to utilize when shipping to Military and Diplomatic addresses. Below is a list of the services along with links to additional information for each.

Military and Diplomatic (APO, FPO, DPO) addresses can be a little tricky to format correctly. Review the below information to learn how to input these types of addresses when generating labels in ShipWorks.
Write out the recipient's rank and full name in the Full Name field.
Include the unit and P.O. Box in the Street field.

The City field will need to be one of the abbreviations set forth by the Military:
APO: Army Post Office
FPO: Fleet Post Office
DPO: Diplomatic Post Office

The State/Prov field for your shipment needs to be assigned a “state code,” which is categorized by the following abbreviations:
AA: Armed Forces Central and South Americas (Armed Forces Americas)
AP: Armed Forces Pacific
AE: Armed Forces Europe (including-Canada, Middle East, and Africa)
Set the Country field to United States as these addresses are considered part of the U.S.

About Military Addresses
Some shipments, although considered Domestic, may still require customs information. Check with your carrier for their specific requirements.
ShipWorks does not support International return labels. While ShipWorks can create outgoing shipping labels to these military and diplomatic addresses, these addresses are considered International addresses for returns purposes.
