Getting to Know Shipping Profiles
Shipping profiles allow you to create and save sets of your most commonly used shipping defaults. These defaults, or profiles, can then be easily applied to a single shipment or to a group of selected shipments. For example, you could have a profile that automatically applies an expedited shipping service, weight, insurance, dimensions, signature required, turn on email notifications and more, all with just a couple of mouse clicks.
ShipWorks version 5.24 or later also gives you the ability to create Global Shipping Profiles which allow you to apply an origin address, weight, dimensions and/or insurance to a shipment or group of shipments without changing the shipping provider or other details of the shipment. In addition, version 5.24 or later makes it easier to create and edit your shipping profiles using the new Manage Profiles dialog. It also allows you to apply shipping profiles by using keyboard shortcuts or by scanning a barcode.
The articles listed below will walk you through how to create and edit shipping profiles, how to assign keyboard shortcuts and barcodes to your shipping profiles, and how to apply shipping profiles to your shipments using keyboard shortcuts or on a barcode scan.
