This is a domestic service. Domestic mail is transported:
within, across, and between the United States.
-
from the United States to
U.S. territories.
U.S. military and diplomatic posts and the United Nations, NY.
Commercial Rates
Commercial pricing is a discounted postage rate, lower than Retail pricing. It is only available to qualifying shippers, including ShipWorks subscribers.
Parcel Select Ground rates are determined by package weight and dimensions, distance (Zone), and rate class.
This service uses parcel weight and dimensions are used to determine postage costs. When weighing packages, round up to the nearest pound to find the postage cost. Costs increase as weight and dimensions increase. Oversized packages may be charged a dimensional rate surcharge.
USPS assigns a Zone based on the shipments zip code in relation to the package destination. This zone then becomes the measurement by which the domestic shipment must travel, ranging from Zone 1 (local) to Zone 9 (very far away). Costs increase as the Zone, or distance, increases. For example, if a package travels 9 zones the cost will be more than a package traveling only 1 zone.
