Shipping carriers routinely update their products, adding or removing features and services, as well as adjusting their rates. These rate changes usually occur at the start of the year and during the peak shipping season during the holidays.
ShipWorks understands the importance of staying up to date with changes regarding shipping rates as well as new or updated policies and procedures with each carrier. That's why we make it super simple to find that information.

FedEx announced an increase in surcharges for the holiday season which go into effect on September 5, 2022 until January 2023. This will affect U.S. Express, Ground and Ground International services.
Many of these surcharges have been incremental increases and are higher than the previous year.
While these surcharges apply to all levels of shippers, it is likely that enterprise merchants who see an increase in cargo during peak season will be most impacted. Understanding how FedEx calculates their Peaking Factor can help plan for the added costs. Review FedEx's Additional Peak Residential Delivery Charge information, under the Aug 5, 2022 Peak Surcharges update, for details on how this is applies.
