Add Multiple ShipWorks Workstations
Increase productivity by installing ShipWorks on multiple computers and connecting them to a centralized ShipWorks database. A common ShipWorks setup may include:
Shipping workstations (for picking, packing and shipping).
Office workstations (for running reports, printing packing slips and more).
Management workstations (for administering ShipWorks, running productivity reports, monitoring inventory levels and more).
To run ShipWorks on multiple computers and to have each ShipWorks computer connected to a centralized ShipWorks database, please be sure that:
ShipWorks has been installed successfully on at least one computer on your Local Area Network.
All of the PCs on which you will be installing ShipWorks are on the same Local Area Network (LAN). Typically, if all of the computers are on the same wireless connection or plugged into the same modem or router, they are on the same Local Area Network. If you are unsure please reach out to your local IT person.
Enable remote connections has been enabled on the main ShipWorks database computer. If you are unsure if remote connections is enabled, please see our help article.
