Pricefalls: Create Filters
Using the ShipWorks Generic File Import feature, you can configure ShipWorks to import your Pricefalls orders so that you can utilize all of the awesome features of the ShipWorks software. You can also configure ShipWorks to export your shipment information so that it can easily be imported back into Pricefalls.
This article will guide you through how to create filters in ShipWorks to assist you with separating those orders that have been shipped from those that have not. It will also guide you through creating a filter which will be used when exporting tracking information for Pricefalls orders shipped in ShipWorks.
Before you continue, please be sure to:
1. Configure ShipWorks to import Pricefalls orders following these instructions.
2. Be able to log into ShipWorks with administrator rights.
First, let's create a filter in ShipWorks to show you which Pricefalls orders need to be shipped.
2. In the Filter Organizer window select the Generic - File (your store name) folder. Note: the (your store name) will be the name you gave to your Pricefalls store when adding it to ShipWorks.
3. Then, click the New Filter button.
4. Name the filter. In this example we will name it Not Shipped. Then, double check to be sure that your Pricefalls folder is selected. Click Next.
5. Now we need to add a condition to the filter so that it only contains unshipped orders. Click on the Add Condition () button. You will now have a line that reads Order Total Equals $0.00.
6. Click on Order Total and select Order Local Status.
7. Click the word Equals ans select Does not Equal.
8. Click the drop-down menu and select Shipped.
9. Click Next. Then, click Finish.
Next, let's create a filter that keeps track of the orders that you ship on any given day. It will even clear itself out at the end of every day so that it is reset to zero for the next day! This filter will also be used later on to set up the Pricefalls shipping details export.
2. In the Filter Organizer window select the Generic - File (your store name) folder. Note: the (your store name) will be the name you gave to your Pricefalls store when adding it to ShipWorks.
3. Then, click the New Filter button.
4. Name the filter. In this example we will name it Shipped Today. Then, double check to be user that your Pricefalls folder is selected. Click Next.
5. Now, lets configure the filter to show only orders that were shipped today. Click on the Add Condition button. You will now have a line that reads Order Total Equals $0.00.
6. Click on Order Total and select For any Shipment... .
7. You will now have a new line that reads For an shipment in the order... Click on the second Add Condition button located under that line.
8. Now, click on the word Provider and select Ship Date.
9. Now, click on the word Equals and select Is Today.
10. Click on the second Add Condition button to add an additional condition.
11. Click on the word Provider and select Processed Status.
12. Now, click on the Not Processed drop-down menu and select Processed.
Your filter should now look like this...
10. Click Next then Finish. Then, click Close.
You should now have an All Orders, Not Shipped and a Shipped Today filter for your Pricefalls store.
Here's how they work:
a. New orders come into ShipWorks and show up in the Not Shipped filter.
b. You process a shipment (create a label) for a Pricefall order. The order leaves the Not Shipped filter and shows up in the Shipped Today Filter.
c. At midnight local time, the Shipped Today filter clears out and resets to 0 orders.
d. The All Orders filter will always contain all of the Pricefalls orders so that you can refer back to them if needed.
You should now be able to import your Pricefalls orders into ShipWorks. You also have filters sorting out those orders that need to be shipped, those that were shipped today and a filter for all Pricefalls orders. Next, you may wish to create an export in ShipWorks to export all of your shipment details for the orders you shipped on a give day. This exported file can be used to import the data back into Pricefalls.
See this article for details on how to set up and to automate your Pricefalls export.
