Exporting the Product Catalog

Background

It is possible to export the entire product catalog from ShipWorks into a comma delimited (.CSV) file. This can be useful if you would like to use the functionality of an external application such as Excel to sort, modify or update product information.

First Things First

We recommend that you run the latest version of the ShipWorks software. This allows you to access the latest tools and features and ensures the steps in this article will work for you. For assistance with checking your version of ShipWorks or with upgrading to the latest version, please see this help article.

The Process

1. Click the Export button located at the top of the Products screen.

click the products tab and then the export button

2. Navigate to the location at which you would like to save the export file. Then, click the Save button.

select where to save the file in windows, click save

The file is saved by default as a comma delimited file with a .CSV extension. The file is named ProductExport_[Date and Time].csv. For example, if you export the file on December 19, 2018 at 12:32pm the file will be named ProductExport_2018-12-19_123231.csv. Of course, you can change the name if you desire to any name that you would like.
