Regarding the Contents Section
1. The dollar amount entered into the Value: fields for each declared item will be summed and updated in the Value: field of the General section of the Customs tab.
For Example: You have declared that there are two T-shirts valued at $10 each and one Hat valued at $10.00. The Value: field in the General section will automatically show $30. (2 T-shirts at $10 plus 1 Hat at $10 = $30)
2. The weight of all declared items will be summed and updated in the Weight: field of the Shipment Details section of the Service tab.
For Example: You have declared that there are two T-shirts weighing 1 pound each and one Hat weighing .5 pound. The Weight: field in the Shipment Details section will automatically show 2.5 pounds.
FedEx will automatically file the appropriate electronic trade documents with countries that support it.
FedEx international shipping labels will print with ETD printed near the bottom of the label for any shipments for which electronic documents were submitted successfully.
Shipments going to countries that do not support filing trade documents electronically will require the appropriate number of copies of the commercial invoice to be printed and included with your shipments.
By default, when you add your FedEx account to ShipWorks, ShipWorks is configured to automatically print 3 copies of the commercial invoice for all international shipments. Verify that your printing rules are configured to print commercial invoices by reviewing this article.
