Use the Carrier's Declared Value
ShipWorks insurance is 100% hassle-free. Simply select "ShipWorks Insurance" in ShipWorks for each shipment you want to insure. Enjoy a streamlined experience with real-time updates on the claim status, claim messages, and document submissions.
However, ShipWorks also gives you the ability to use the shipping carrier's declared value when shipping your packages.
To enable UPS Declared Value:

Click on the Manage tab. Then, click the Shipping Settings button.

Select UPS.

Scroll down to locate the Shipment Protection section.

Change ShipWorks Insurance to UPS Declared Value.

Click the Close button.
To enable FedEx Declared Value:

Click on the Manage tab. Then, click the Shipping Settings button.

Select FedEx.

Scroll down to locate the Shipment Protection section.

Change ShipWorks Insurance to FedEx Declared Value.

Click the Close button.
When configuring a shipment, check the checkbox located in the Protection: section of the Shipment Details. Then, ensure that the Declared Value: is entered correctly.
