Configuring Printers: Use Cases
After reading through the Introduction to Printing in ShipWorks article you may be wondering exactly which templates you should set up for printing.
Below are a few use cases to help get you started. While there may or may not be a use case that matches your situation completely, once you have a grasp of how to configure your templates you will be prepared to configure ShipWorks for your own printing needs.
As a ShipWorks user, I have a single laser printer to which I would like to print my shipping labels. I don't need to include a packing slip or invoice with my shipments.
Things You'll Need
2-up ClickNShip Labels: They have two adhesive shipping labels per page.
A laser or inkjet printer. (Laser printers generally have a lower per-page printing cost.)
The Template
Select your printer for the following template:
-
Labels > Standard
Additional Setup
None. When you process a shipping label, the label will print to your laser printer and will be formatted to print two labels per 8.5" x 11" sheet.
