Add USPS (Stamps.com Account) to The Hub
This article assumes that you are on a ShipWorks plan that offers access to The Hub. If you are on a legacy plan that does not offer access to The Hub or if you are unsure please add your carriers in the software.
LATEST VERSION OF SHIPWORKS
-
Open a web browser and go to hub.shipworks.com.
-
Log in using your ShipWorks account email and password. (This is the same email address and password that you created when setting up your ShipWorks account.)
After adding your carrier account in The Hub, please log into the ShipWorks software and verify your carrier settings are configured for your specific shipping workflow.
Once you have connected your Stamps.com account, you can enable One Balance in Shipworks.
To comply with updated USPS address validation requirements, all shipping label requests now require complete From and Return To addresses. Both addresses must include Street Address, City, State, and ZIP Code. Passing only a ZIP Code will result in a validation error.
-
For UI / Dashboard Users: Ensure your saved shipping origin and return addresses in your account settings include full street details.
-
For API Users: Ensure both the
fromandreturn_toaddress objects in your request payload contain complete street, city, state, and postal code fields.
Identify your integration method below and follow the corresponding solution:

Using the Web/UI Portal |
Your shipping origin or return address is incomplete or differs from your primary account settings. |
Go to your Account Settings and update your primary shipping and return addresses to include complete, permanent street details. |
|
Using Direct API / SWSIM Integration |
Your current API payload passes only a ZIP code instead of full address objects. |
Update your integration payload to include complete From and Return To address objects (including Street Address, City, State, and ZIP) when requesting a label. |
