Filters: Filter Shipments Shipped 'Today' by User
Monitor shipping productivity by utilizing filters to display the orders that were shipped 'today' by each ShipWorks user. This article will guide you through creating and organizing a filter for each ShipWorks user that will:
Show a rolling count of orders shipped by each ShipWorks user for the current business day
Automatically reset the count at midnight
Give you quick access to the information for each shipped order
Please be sure that you are logged into ShipWorks as an administrator or as a user with rights to create, edit, and delete filters. Learn more about user management.
We will begin by creating a folder in which the filters for the ShipWorks users will be organized. The folder will also specify that each filter within it should only display orders that were shipped 'today'. Then, we will create filters for each ShipWorks user. The filters will house the orders shipped 'today' by the user and display a running sum.

-
Check the Use a condition to restrict the contents of this folder box.
-
Click the Add Condition button.
A new line Order Total > Equals > $0.00 will display.

Click the new Add Condition button.
A new line Provider > Equals > USPS will display.

Click the green word Equals and select Is Today.
-
Verify that the Filter Condition screen matches the below image. Then, click the Next button.
-
Click the Finish button. The new folder will be displayed in the Filter Organizer.
Next, create a filter for one of the ShipWorks users. This filter will keep a running count of the orders processed on the current business day for the selected user. Later, you will copy and modify this filter for additional ShipWorks users.
-
Ensure that the Shipped Today by User folder you just created is selected. Then, click the New Filter button.
-
Name the filter by entering a name into the Filter Name: field. For this example, we will enter the name of the ShipWorks user for which the filter is being created. Then, click the Next button.
-
Click the Add Condition button.
A new line Order Total > Equals > $0.00 will display.
-
Click on Order Total and select For Any then select Shipment.
-
Click the new Add Condition button.
A new line Provider > Equals > USPS will display.
-
Click on Provider and select Processed by.
-
Select the user for which the filter is being created from the drop-down menu.
Click the Next button. Then, click Finish.
The new filter will be displayed in the Filter Organizer. If the user has processed any shipments today, a number will be displayed to the right of the filter showing the number of processed shipment.

Now that you have a filter created for one ShipWorks user, you can copy and modify it for as many ShipWorks users as you need. Here's how:
-
Select the filter you created in the above steps. Click the Copy button then click OK.
-
Select the copied filter and click the Edit button.
-
Rename the filter. Then, select the user from the Processed by > Equals drop-down menu. Click OK.
The filter is now displayed in the Filter Organizer and the number of orders shipped today by the user will be displayed. Repeat the above steps to create filters for all ShipWorks users.

Summing it Up
Did you know that the blue number in parenthesis to the right of the Folder is the sum of all the filters within the folder? For example, in the below image Admin 1 shipped 430 orders today, User 1 shipped 344 orders today. So, the Shipped Today by User folder shows a total of 774 orders shipped today.

The Folder and Filters you created will be displayed in the Filters Panel on the main Orders Grid of the ShipWorks software. If the Filters Panel is not visible, click on the View tab, then the Show Panels button and select Orders.
View the contents of a Folder or Filter by selecting it from the list of filters in the Filters Panel.
