Manually Add Tax ID, IOSS, and USPS ITN Numbers to Shipments
Tax identification or IOSS numbers and USPS Internal Transaction Numbers (ITN) can be added to your international shipments so that customs information on labels and commercial invoices is correct. This article will guide you through how to manually add tax identification numbers and USPS ITNs to your international shipments. ShipWorks also makes it possible to store your tax identification and IOSS numbers in ShipWorks using Shipping Profiles.

Supported Carriers
Only USPS, UPS, and FedEx are supported on the Scan-to-Ship screen. For all other carriers, please see the Add Tax Ids in the Ship Orders Screen section below.

Select the Ship tab.

Locate the Customs panel.

Enter the tax identification or IOSS number into the Recipient Tax ID: field.
USPS Only: Enter the USPS ITN into the ITN: field.

FedEx and UPS only: Select the correct tax identifier type from the TIN Type: drop-down menu. If you are unsure of which TIN Type to select, please consult government websites for the destination country or talk with a tax expert to confirm if you need a specific TIN Type.

The default selection for FedEx is Personal State
The Ship Orders screen is used when batch processing international shipments. This section will guide you through adding tax ID or IOSS numbers to multiple shipments in batch. The steps in this section assume that all orders are being shipped with the same carrier.

Select the international orders to be shipped. Click the Home tab then the Ship Orders button.

Select all of the shipments on the Ship Orders screen. Then, click on the Customs tab.

Enter the tax identification or IOSS number into the Recipient Tax ID: field.
USPS Only: Enter the USPS Internal Transaction Number into the ITN: field.
With all of the shipments selected, the tax identification number will be updated for all shipments.

Select the correct tax identifier type from the TIN Type: drop-down menu. If you are unsure of which TIN Type to select, please consult government websites for the destination country or talk with a tax expert to confirm if you need a specific TIN Type.
