Magento 2.3 Shipment creation error
Hello,
Is anybody using ShipWorks with Magento 2.3? We have been suffered from a serious ShipWorks bug, ShipWorks fails to send a proper quantity value to Magento, and even though shipping label is created and printed successfully, Magento fails to create Shipment record.
As a result, we always have to check the order status after printing the shipping label to see if it is 'Complete' (then okay to ship), or something else (cannot ship). This is just the unnecessary extra step which nobody wants to take.
I reported this issue to ShipWorks support on November 21st, 2019, and waited for 7 months but their support keep saying 'it's on the developers' road map but have no definitive date of fix'. Sounds like I'm in an edge case, wondering not so many people uses ShipWorks with Magento 2.3.
Is there anybody else having the same issue? If so, what is your workaround?

I just upgraded Magento from v2.2.9 to 2.3.6 and do indeed have the same problem. It seems to generate an error on every shipment, but as far as I can tell everything is actually working. Orders in Magento are marked COMPLETE and the tracking number is uploaded as well. I reported the problem to Shipworks so this can hopefully get a little more attention as other people start to have the same issue. Magento is already on v2.4.1 now and it is the most common website platform used today so hopefully this nuisance error gets fixed soon.
