Setting an items Local Status - adding advanced capability

I'd like to see the ability to set an item's local status for orders in bulk and well as some actions for setting an items local status. We rely heavily on item local status to mark certain items in and order a unshipped or backordered for example and there not really any advanced functions around interacting with the item local statuses. It's very much a single by single order process.

If I selected a group of orders it would be ideal to set every item in those orders to a certain local status.

If an order falls into a filter, it would be ideal to run an action to  change the local status of an item matching various item criteria.

  This is already possible. Play around with Actions and you will quickly figure it out. Its all logic based just as you have described.

  I don't see the option for setting the local status of line items. I do see and we have many actions for setting the local status of the whole order. If you have some guidance or a screenshot of where to find setting the local status of an item that would be greatly appreciated.

  Sorry, I didn't see your reply there David. Sometimes I forgot about all the customization I've done to ours. I see now that you are correct. My mistake.

  Nathan did you have a custom script for this?  I would be interested in it.  When I try to edit the orderitem table it says I cannot edit outside of shipworks

  @Chad,

  I'm not sure I'm allowed to tell you how to update those tables outside of ShipWorks without their permission.

  I would be more than happy to tell you as soon as an employee can verify that we are allowed to discuss this openly.
