Inventory ODBC
The program is great. Lots of features and works really well. One thing it seems to be lacking is connection to ERP or point of sale systems. Since shipworks doesn't handle inventory or purchase orders to suppliers, it makes it very difficult to download 4 channels, ebay, amazon, our website and our POS and then keep track of what inventory is getting sold. We generate PO's from our POS ERP system so out of the box we wouldn't have inventory data on the 3 other markets. I managed to get around it a bit by writing some database triggers to export my orders from shipworks to sql server into our erp database. I also have a trigger on the erp for the products to keep the products updated. That all works well but it would be great to just have a simple ODBC for products and possibly orders as well. It would be great to see product inventory being able to pass back and forth into shipworks. Without inventory levels in shipworks, we have no way to tell what back orders are ready to ship without looking at every one. I would really like to see after a purchase order being committed that it hits the shipworks database and possibly sets a local status on the orderitem table to "ready to ship" and print a slip. updating inventory to the hub is not doing anything worthwhile on the local warehouse side and if I had to prepare a CSV every time I committed a Purchase Order I would lose my mind. We really need to get some automation working for products. I would be happy to help if needed.
