Option to disable AUTOUPDATE "feature"!!!!!
This glitch of yours (autoupdate) is a massive waste of time for us. I try to postpone by re-scheduling by 6 days, but if I miss and one of the computers updates all need to be updated and they require administrative rights. Regular users do not have administrative rights (of course!) and I have to go manually to all locations in our building and update all computers that use shipworks. And of course if I am not available nobody can use shipworks, because of this autoupdate "feature".
Shame on you!

Thank you for sharing your feedback on ShipWorks AutoUpdate. For starters, I would like to apologize for the inconvenience that this has caused you and your company. As always we appreciate the feedback, as our user's reviews provide insight that we can share with our Engineers to see if we can facilitate a better user experience.
I would like to discuss this further with you to ensure we are doing everything that we can to deliver a pleasant experience with ShipWorks. I've created a support ticket (using the account that you used to create this post) so we can further discuss AutoUpdate.

Totally agree with the original post. Admins should have the ability to turn off the Auto Update process. After the first auto update caused a severe issue for us (our warehouse shipping staff could not ship at all and our only tech support was not in the office), I required an immediate resolution. ShipWorks tech support had to remote into EVERY one of our shipping stations and manually turn off the Auto Update. This is something that admins should be able to do themselves. I comment on this now because we are getting ready to install ShipWorks on a 7th shipping station and I should definitely be able to have an option that allows me to disable Auto Update ... without involving ShipWorks tech support.

Yes, I confirm that is their "solution" to a trivial matter like disabling this "feature". While remoting has become a trivial for the average user I am always very nervous to run a third party free remote access application. It's no secret to every admin how dangerous that is. Shipworks should provide remote access support to customers but should also help "remote access"-less support to people who refuse it. Or I have a crazy idea - how about: AN OPTION TO DISABLE AUTOUPDATE?! Bury it in the settings and make it available on a request (like you did) but do not require remoting in to all our computers. I've been requesting this since the first time I encountered this glitch of a feature every time I need to call Shipworks. No matter what the reason I always ask them: "Did you add an option to disable AUTOUPDATE?" So, call them and request it.
